Language has lost its meaning.
We speak but can no longer establish what the words represent. We know what they should represent… what they usually represent, but now each utterance expresses a thousand definitions.
A thousand interpretations.
A thousand anxieties.
A thousand times.
Internally tethered to language, we are bound to think from inside of the same poisoned structure that suffocates understanding. Now the air we breathe is a cacophony of noise where definitions have floated away from their source – looped, hallucinated, disembodied, warped, loud. We adopt new limbs for our mangled languages that don’t let us move. We search with these new limbs, rehabilitate communication. Our efforts are aimed at translating the overwhelming cacophony of language as we feel it exists now, by filling our space with a vulnerable search for sonic overlap. When meaning and definitions feel pointless and understanding feels unattainable, we attend to the sounds that attract us the most.
